About Monica

Connecting with people through art and watching lights start going off in their minds is one of my favorite moments while painting with others. In my lessons you'll feel excited, the setup is comfortable environment, your more like my company rather a student. We chat about anything and everything while painting and drawing and creating moments that will last for a life time.

I love how through art I am able to connect people to their passion. I love listening to my clients talk about their experiences and life stories and achievements as well as their down falls and how they picked themselves back up or how even art picked them up. I just love the connection and energy that is set when art is involved.

I noticed I liked showing my kids my work and when they would want to watch me I caught myself walking them through the process as I went. That made me want to teach them how to paint. So I did. Then their friends wanted to come and do the same. And then their parents were like "wait can u hold an all adults class even?" And so I said "sure bring your own bottle and we can play some music and paint the night away" after they all tipped me. And I couldn't believe I started making making money off of my classes. At 1st it was TIPS WELCOMED, then it got to a point I could charge for the class itself. So I did.

I have worked as an instructor many times and have been in many different situations that have prepped me for the next event. Every event is a preparation for the next.

About the lesson

Introduction. A few questions on goals and ideas or even expectations. Then a little walk through of what I am there for, for that moment and what we can do and achieve through consistent efforts.

All kinds... Young and old. Some that already knew how to paint they just wanted company of another artist and advise from another artist. Some mean and quiet and some very nice and responsive.

Be open to your teachers advise. But always follow instinct.

The 1st time I looked up and seen 65 ppl painting my painting!!!! I wanted to cry after. I was standing at my easel side bent over slightly, strokes of paint were added to my canvas, I turned around to see if ppl were following along a room of 65 ppl and over half of them were all paying attention to me... They were eyes wide on me.... About 6 ppl were dancing and entertaining the model that was there to serve them drinks and interact with guest. 3 were up getting more paint and lord and behold everyone else were following my instructions. For the 1st time I felt like I was on top of the world. As the music pumped through the air and the lights jumped from red to blue and yellow I was basking in that moment! This was life!!!! I could do this! And I will continue!
