About Silver
Our students have the unique opportunity of taking classes and workshops within an award-winning gallery setting. Our instructors are seasoned, degreed, and have had their work featured in our gallery as well as galleries across the country and even overseas. Students will learn proper techniques, composition, placement, color, etc. in their art medium. Students will experience creating their art pieces in an insurmountable gallery setting.
Our gallery instructors teach in a welcoming and non-judgmental setting. Instructors will adapt a course to fit each student's individual needs and aspirations for his or her own art piece. Silver Circle Art Center has been in business for over 8 years and we pride ourself on our enduring committment to the arts and to our local community. Spreading the love of the arts is our mission.
Our instructors are seasoned and most have attained a Masters in Fine Arts, are collegiate educators, or teach in area schools. Our instructors possess numerous years of experience and love what they do which shows in their teaching style.

We discuss with each student what their individual needs are and instructors will be able to tailor a class or workshop based on those needs. We ask all new students beforehand what their expectations are as well as skill level. Additionally, we also ask about time committment and what students feel most comfortable doing in terms of his or her own artistic medium.
We work with students of all ages and skillsets. We also offer a therapeutic arts program for tweens to adults for self-expression through the arts.
Choose a class or workshop that appeals to you or that you will be challenged by - you will build lasting relationships with our instructors who will help to guide you through the art process and make you feel comfortable every step of your artistic journey.
Silver Circle Art Center presently has an ongoing community art installation: "A Million Reasons to Love Putnam" which features a handmade and bound journal for visitors to write their reasons why they love our Town of Putnam, Connecticut. Once filled, the journal will be donated to the Putnam Visitors' Center for future generations to view and enjoy.
