About Shen

Hi there! My name is Shen & I have enjoyed making art & crafting for years. I have experiences in holding workshops, art & craft booths at local events and have guided my children (who are now adults), family and friends in finding their creative expression. I also received grad level education in Art Therapy. I am a multimedia artist and have experience in many different crafts and art mediums.

I enjoy the process of creation as well as the finish product. Its a learning experience every time and I enjoy being able to support someone who is not familiar with concepts and material. I work with the individual on their own learning curb.

I was a preschool teacher for several years, then worked for different organizations that allowed for art workshops for clients and staff functions. I've also taught arts & crafts at community events such as festivals and art walks.

I attended grad school at NDNU in the Marriage Family Therapy program with the emphasis in Art Therapy.

I've had experience holding my own workshops, art booths at local community events and have also supported friends, family and children in the art making process.

About the lesson

Phone call or video chat or in person, I would like to get a feel of what the student's past experience is, what they would like their goal to be and how they prefer to learn. I especially like face to face interaction so that we can both get comfortable with each other.

I have worked with all ages and have experience with individuals with different abilities.

Ask questions. Know what you're looking for in a teacher/ session, what art(s)/ craft(s)/ medium(s) you'd like to explore and keep an open mind.

I enjoy community events but also enjoy one on one sessions with my clients.
