About Annette

I have been a practicing artist since the late 1970s and I received a Degree in Fine Art in 1997

I have studied with Masters in many mediums

I cater to what the student client needs are in learning. not just what I want to teach!

I enjoy the process of teaching! teaching also teaches me as I learn from those I teach

That the art process brings me joy and makes me feel whole!!!

It is my true calling. I am a walking and living creative. Everything I do is a creative effort whether it be cooking, floral design, Inerior design, hair design. set design, painting, sculpting, Teaching allows me to be a thinker and troubleshoot and find answers for a creative need or in life, Art helps us creatively troubleshoot problems and come up with creative resources and answers!!!

I have a degree in Fine Art with an intra-area study in Painting and Clay Sculpture

I was the Education Director @ the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi, Mississippi (a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization

I have been professionally drawing/painting since the late 1970s

I have exhibited my art work in many galleries accross the U.S.

I have my work in collections around the world!

I have participated in group installations in public places and in Museums

I also paint murals in private residences and in public places

About the lesson

I have a conversation with the client...what does the student want to learn. What is the students directive and desire? Does the student want to learn from the ground up? paint intuitively?become a professional artist or just paint/draw/create as a hobby?

Based on our conversation I will develop an approach of teaching for that particular client.

I will give the student a list of materials that will be needed for the classes and develope a schedule based on mine and the client's schedule.
