About Malia
I can help ages 3-11 improve reading, writing, and comprehension. I took ap literature and ap British literature I finished my first two years of college English as a freshman in college. I want to help other kids learn how to have a passion for English as I do!
I love seeing children finally understand how much fun reading is. I also enjoy seeing them engage with something they struggled with and get comfortable with! I love helping them find a passion for reading and strengthening their comprehension skills.
When I was in the Engish National Honor Society I helped tutor kids in elementary school.
I finished high school AP English language and composition as well as AP British Literature. I was also in the English National Honor Society where I tutored kids from pre-k to 4th grade.

I would first talk to the parents to see what help is needed, then asses how strong the students reading and comprehension skills are. After I see what skill level the student is at I would start to build up their confidence and try to build up their skill.
I have worked with kids from pre-k through 4th grade. I also have helped kids with speech impediments.
