About Carmel

I am a certified teacher teacher with over 10 years experience working with children and youth. I am the co founder of an academic summer camp where we focus on making learning fun, I believe every child should have the opportunity to learn and be successful. Learning is adventure you have to be willing to jump.

I enjoy watching children learn or improve. As a tutor I am the coach who is guiding my clients in their learning path. When they get to experience success I feel,proud and know I have done my job. Teaching is a passion and I believe every child should have the opportunity to learn.

Working one on one allows me to give my client the attention they need to work at their own pace. Having an individual plan will help them be successful and not dell rushed.

Teaching was my second career. I worked in social services for 10 years working with children and youth in the community. I began providing assistance to clients in school and I saw several areas I thought were a problem. I decided instead of complaining I would be a part of the solution. I started teaching and became very passionate about education and the importance of every child having an opportunity to learn ina safe place.

I am a certified Texas teacher with over 10 years experience teaching elementary and middle school students tes in Public school.

About the lesson

A new student will answer a short questionnaire about themselves in order to get to know them and their personality. Parents wil provide information about academic strengths, weaknesses and learning styles and expectations.

Once this process is complete if parent signs contract and agrees to tutoring sessions will be scheduled.

My experience has allowed me to work with children's yout from very diverse backgrounds. I have worked with students who were considered at risk and in poverty. I have also worked with youth in a gifted and talented program. This experience has allowed me to learn different approaches to teaching students form all backgrounds.

I believe every child has opportunity to learn. If you work hard you can achieve success at your level.

I was able to provide e a stud e who was struggling in school an opportunity to build his reading skills. He is now attending a private school and succeeding.
