About Erin
I am a high school senior looking to make some money for college and wanting to give back to younger students looking for a tutor! I currently have a 4.0 GPA and have taken advanced classes throughout my schooling. Throughout middle school I was involved in leadership, serving as Secretary my 7th and 8th grade years, followed by my involvement in the FFA throughout high school, in which I now serve as the chapter President. I have competed in various public speaking contests in the past, my favorite involving my presentation on Crohn's Disease. I took this presentation to the state level, where I earned the highest award of Platinum in 2017. I also played competitive soccer for 12 years, deciding to stop when COVID hit. I was lucky enough to receive wonderful coaching and would love to pass on the basics of the amazing sport to an up and coming soccer stud ;)
I would love the opportunity to pass along any of my knowledge to the next generation. I understand that learning from someone closer to your age can make you more comfortable or understand things better as teens and teachers see and explain things differently. I received some tutoring help over the years and it has been nothing but beneficial.
I have never formally tutored a student before, however my parents are both teachers so I have been surrounded by education my whole life! I love working with kids and hope that I can help. I also have significant experience in a few of the sections that I stated above in my description! :)
