About Ruth
I've always loved to tutor or help out any way I can to those that needed it. I work with students on a professional level but I understand that they're still children so I try to make it enjoyable for them while teaching them the things they need. I've also won a state wide writing award called "Scholastic Art & Writing Awards" for my personal memoir!
I started out tutoring many of my cousins because they didn't speak English and that led me to want to help out those who needed it. I love to see students grow academically and as a person.
I volunteered with ENGin that pairs students in the Ukraine with students from the United States to help them with their English. I've not only gained training from that, but I've learned how to work with people that weren't proficient in English.

I don't dive straight into the work because I like to let my students know that they can be comfortable around me and be allowed to make mistakes. So, I let them introduce themselves and tell me their interests so I know how to progress from there!
