About Natasha
My name is Ms. Hernandez. I am currently a grade 6-8 ELA Special Education Teacher. I work in the Bronx and enjoy helping middle schoolers reach their highest capability. I have a strong belief in Academic Success and the power of acknowledge.
I enjoy helping my students reach their highest potential in many different ways. I am a firm believe that not every student learns the same way. Due to this belief I pride myself in providing students many different learning options and techniques.
I started teaching by applying to the NYC Teaching Fellows. I was accepted into the program and pursued my career in Teaching.

When working with a new students I like to:
1. Introduce myself
2. Provide Educational Background/Current Teaching Background
3. Have student fill out a Learning Style Inventory Questionnaire.
4. Ask students what their strengthens are.
5.Ask students what their weaknesses are and use their strengthens to help turn their weaknesses into strengthens.
6.Review expectations/rules/boundaries
7. Get to know student on a professional (teacher/student)level.
