About Alexis

Alexis De La Rosa is a development professional with five years of experience managing student success programs and developing external relations strategies. She began her career in college admissions, and has since worked with key community-based organizations and college access programs in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Alexis has been a Professional English & Writing Tutor at the collegiate level, and a guest lecturer at the graduate school level. She looks forward to helping you elevate and refine your writing to meet your personal, academic and professional goals!

I have been tutoring since I was an undergraduate student, and developed a love of supporting students and teaching while in graduate school.

I hold a master's degree in Higher Education, and a bachelor's degree in Psychology (with great focus on literature reviews and writing).

About the lesson

I like to start by identifying what my student's goals are, what areas they'd like to improve in, and possibly even review a sample of their writing. I meet my students where they are in their editing/writing process, and adjust my style to best fit their needs.

I have worked with a diverse body of students, from those in high school, to adults and non-traditional college students.
