About Kimberly
I am compassionate about teaching the individual as a whole. Each student has different speeds of learning, different academic interests, different ways of processing concepts, and different distractions, whether those are from school, home, or internally. It’s my hope that by working at the level of each student, tutoring will not be a substitute for learning in school, but a catalyst to propel learning not only in school but beyond.
I have five months of experience tutoring children in grades 1-5. In addition, I was a Sunday School teacher at my church for two years. I intend to gain more training and certification in tutoring by September 2019.
I have a passion for learning even after having graduated college eight years ago. In light of my passion I began to see that teaching is just as important if not more so because the communication of knowlege is what keeps it alive and growing. If knowlege is power, its my goal to empower everyone around me.
I love working with kids, I love seeing them succeed. In my previous ministry job, tutoring was a practical way to let the kids know they are important and worth investing time and attention.
