About Zoe

I provide excellent help in a variety of subjects for students in need of services. I have a background in teaching dance and I have always valued how important it is to have a good education because it can be very rewarding.

I am currently studying to receive my B.S. in Business Administration in summer of 2021. I understand the academic process at an elementary, secondary, and higher educational level. I have been a notaker for students with disabilities. I have also worked multiple customer service jobs, from food service to working in a college and public library. During my time working for the Allen County Public Library, I helped organize many of the children's education programs, as well as story time sessions. I always found this process to be very rewarding, and I thoroughly enjoy working with people of all ages.

I have been dancing since the age of three and when I was 17, I was offered a teaching position at a local studio. When I went to college, I joined a dance organization called Rhythms Dance Troupe, and from there I choreographed pieces for our showcases. I was also elected as the Vice President of the organization in 2019, and that position required me to be in charge of running our rehearsals and making sure the group was properly warmed up and prepared during each practice. Each summer, I get invited to come back to the studio I used to teach at and typically will teach intensive classes for about a week, as well as teaching improvisation in art, and choreography. I am also currently studying to recieve my Yoga Teaching Certification (YTT 200).

I have taken several AP Literature and English classes in my secondary education. I have also taken a handful of English classes in higher education, as well as classes that require procifient skills in writing. I have studied many areas of dance, U.S. history and government, elementary math, and more.

About the lesson

First, I believe it is very important to understand where the student is at in terms of the area they need help with. I will ask a series of questions and from there I will guage where to go from there.

I have worked with mainly dancers and artists, however, many of the lessons taught in these artforms can be transferable skills in other subjects.

I would definitely say to hire based on your needs and your learning style. Everyone teaches and learns differnetly, so it's important to know what you need before hiring someone to assist in your learning process.
