About Cynthia Diane

I love interacting with clients and watching them grow and succeed.

I have 38 years experience as a speech language pathologist. I have worked in a variety of setting with all age groups. My experience is indepth for voice, accent modification, child language, including childhood apraxia. These are all complex areas and I enjoy learning cutting edge research details so I can add to my "therapeutic tool box."

I attended school at the University of Maine at Orono for 6 years and a summer to get my Masters degree in Communication Disorders. My first year of work allowed me to complete my Clinical Fellowship Year.

I have worked as an SLP for 38 years. I am versed in providing services in fluency, reading, spelling, writing, voice, accent modification, and speaking skills.

About the lesson

On my first session I usually meet the client and find out what they are looking for. Then I establish basic goals to address and we go from there.

I have worked with all ages from birth to adult. I have a medical background in rehabilitation, acute care, home care, outpatient, and private practice. I have also worked in public schools from head start to high school. I have experience with fluency, pragmatics, child language, traumatic brain injury, autism, etc.

I have recently had great success working with young people who are unintelligible. It has been fulfilling working with children that cannot make themselves understood and then find the key that helps open the door of communication for them.

My session rates are determined by what the client wants and needs. If they want basic tutoring, sessions are $60.00 per hour. Evaluations are priced according to the evaluation and write up needs.
