About Matt
German is a beautiful, deep, rich, and powerful language, with ages of music, literature, and culture to delve into and enjoy. It is my goal to enable people to enjoy these aspects and benefits of German language capabilities.
I have been studying German for over a decade now, with Advanced ACTFL speaking, as well as Distinguished level reading and listening comprehension. I have a BA in German Studies, and lived in Germany and Austria for two years.
I have a BA in German Studies, Advanced ACTFL spoken proficiency, and Distinguished ACTFL reading and listening comprehension. I have worked with 101 and 102 level German students before, increasing them from a Novice to Intermediate proficiency.

I have taught 4th and 5th grade German immersiona classes, and tutored beginning level university students.
Find someone who prioritizes your learning, and wants to enable you to reach the proficiency you want, not their vision of what you should achieve.
Lately I'm really in to reading Lustige Taschenbücher, which are German Disney comics. I'm working my way through the 1960s right now.
