About James

I have my players to be themselves. Relax and have fun. It is the "game" of golf first. I use visual reinforcements along with Instructional tips. I find that this helps the golfers to retain and recall that for which was taught. I also send an email to the players after each lesson discussing what we worked on during the lesson. It gives the players a reference to use when they are practicing on their own.

I enjoy most when I see on the player's face. The look of joy when they have struck the golf ball the way they have always wanted to. That look and that feeling never gets old.

I have studied the golf game for about 10 years before I started teaching. I have worked with high school and college players. I enjoy helping a players to see their potential. And be the golfer they want to be.

I am a PGTAA Class "A" Master Instructor. I have been a golf instructor for over 30 years.

About the lesson

I start with a free current swing level evaluation. I then sit with the players and discuss what I have observed and ask what do they want to achieve with their game. We then come together to create a game improvement lesson plan. After meeting and after each lesson. I send them a email with what we worked on during that lesson. It gives them something to refer to when they go to practice on their own.

I have taught from beginners to skilled golfers. I have taught golfers from the age of 5 years old and up. I believe that golf has no age limit. I have also worked with special needs golfers.

Be honest with what you want out of lessons. Have fun! Find a teacher who has your best interests in mind. Not just in for the money.

I taught a beginners golf clinic for young children between the ages of 5 to 7 years old. We had 4 different sessions with 4 to 6 golfers per session. The golfers had a lot of fun and learned the basics of the game. Quite a few golfers from the clinics signed up for personal lessons as well.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are their strengths and weaknesses in their game. What weakness is a top priority and so on. How are lesson progresses tracked. How frequently and duration should you meet for lessons. What different aspects of the game is taught. Are there any other expenses required.
