About Greg

Teaching is a passion and seeing students improve and sustain it is the best!

As an assistant golf professional at the University of Utah in 2000

I am the former Assistant Golf Professional at the Univeristy of Utah. I have passed the players ability test through the PGA teaching program in 2001, and continue to study the game today.

About the lesson

For those who are new to the sport, we would begin with putting and short game (emphasizing grip, alignment, tempo, visualization, etc.), eventually building up those skills to a full swing. For more experienced golfers, we begin with swing diagnostics on practice range, grip, alignment and tempo.

I have worked with virtually every age, from 8 to 88, and all levels from beginner to advanced, high school and collegiate. I have taught camps for teens and worked as the Assistant Pro to collegiate atheletes at the University of Utah. Whatever your level, I build on the fundamentals to enhance your golf game.

I am a hybrid of coach and teacher. I rely on strong and clear communication driven by years of positive experiences.

I enjoy teaching and aim to empower my students to enjoy; learning-practicing-playing

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
No need to over think it. A reliable instructor will help you focus on the basics or more advanced plans if needed

Walter

I took a 3 part series with Greg. It was the best decision I've made with my golf game in 15 years. Couldn't shape shots before working with him and now I play a regular draw but can hit a fade consistently too. Lowered handicap by 8 shots. Great coach!

I've taken golf lessons over 5 decades and in several different countries and Greg is easily the best golf instructor I've worked with. No frills, no fancy or uncomfortable swing gadgets, just teaching golf the way Hogan, Palmer used to.... in the dirt! Thanks Greg

I expected to be told what to do the whole time because I'm new to golf but Greg is incredible at adapting to the students needs and wants. Its impressive to me to be able to shift from a set lesson plan and teach in the moment. He is a golf whisperer and hidden gem. Get him while he makes time otherwise, he's a Master Chef and Beverage Designer and more! Love this dude and now I love golf🤗

Coach G is a force of nature. 46 years old and still hits it 325 plus of the tee and touch around the greens like you see from touring pros. I am not just better at golf, I'm blessed.
