About Cory

I am uniquely experienced with all age groups and skill levels. Adept with tricks and fun ways of understanding the more difficult aspects of learning to read music. I have a ton of tricks and resources to offer!

I love educating people- there is nothing better than a student having "A-ha" moments. I love sharing the joy of music.

I started out playing Double Bass in orchestra from age 9-18.

Then I discovered the guitar. I was a self-taught or autodidactic Guitarist for many years.

Then I went to college and earned a BS- Music and MA- Music Theory and Composition.

In college I studied Classical, Jazz, Rock and Pop. I have played with MANY professional artists and performers like Herbie Hancock, Andrew York, T.K. Blue and MANY others.

I have taught Mommy and Me and performed in Nursing Homes- so I have worked with EVERY age group. I perform live and maintain an online music business.

About the lesson

I usually evaluate what experience and knowledge they already have. Most important to me is understanding the language of music and how to decode and read it. I always like to find out what the goal is for undertaking learning music. It's not the easiest path- but super rewarding as most difficult things are!

Music should be fun and enriching!

I have worked with EVERY age group and level.

From as young as 6 weeks old up to 65+

I have taught advanced level and children/adults with Special Needs

I teach EVERYONE :)

Generally I do the following:

$30 for Half Hour- per lesson

$25 for Half Hour- paid monthly

$60 for One Hour- per lesson

$50 for One Hour- paid monthly
