About Bob
I teach students guitar and bass, among other instruments.
I have been playing professionally throughout my life, and I have attended several different colleges of music and education. This includes composition and performance and voice and touring with Roosevelt University’s large jazz band -- (Chicago Musical College, jazz studies at Northeastern Illinois University, classical guitar ,vocal and piano studies at DePaul University, and recently, private studies at Jamie Faunt’s School of Creative Music in California.
I’ve had private music students which I acquired with effort ; taught in studios, and taught in private homes. I can teach students to read music and pursue excellence, to learn how to play various genres of music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student while stressing the importance of training the ear, which is where the confidence lies.Using methods that enables musicians to play what they actually conceive rather than bore their listeners with licks and "notes that work. " having versatile teaching experience and having formal training helps make the learning experience easy, stress free and fun, and, that is especially what beginning and aspiring students need. "
Some of the musical styles I regularly teach: Rock, Hard Rock, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Classical, and all that other Mother Jazz...

My instructor Bob is doing a very good job with my lessons. I am an older/Beginner level drummer and Bob has been a wealth of information both during the lesson and the resources he shares with me in between lessons. He picks up my drumming shortcomings very quickly and has great insight into how to improve in those areas. Unfortunately, due to the virus shutdown, we have not had a chance to meet in person, so I look forward to a one on one lesson in the near future.
Bob took the extra time to get me started on my guitar journey.
