I have taken lessons from Pat for about a year, and he has given me a wonderfully customized learning experience building upon what I had learned on my own and where I want to be in the coming year(s). He listens, responds to questions and provides clarification, and gives feedback to reinforce learning and identify areas needing improvement. He encourages exploration and introduces techniques reflecting different types of music ranging from bluegrass and folk songs to the blues and rock 'n roll. From one lesson to the next, it is clear that he has analyzed both the progress and problems being experienced and developed a plan to allow me to succeed in getting to the next level.
