About Sergio
If you choose to study under me I wont promise you that it'll be easy. I have been playing guitar since I was 12 years old and my skill shows that with time and hard work you too can shred like me. I will drill you on scales, chords seeing how you use that the most regardless if you play rhythm or lead guitar. I will drill you on music theory because without it you will never be able to master the scales and chords I plan on teaching you. Everything we do will be done with a metronome because without that you will never know what being in time means. I can even teach you how to read sheet music, if that is something you want. I plan on developing your ear even further so you can figure out keys and rhythms by just listening. We can go through many different styles of music as well. I can also teach you guitar maintenance like; cleaning your guitar, replacing pickups, changing strings, adjusting the trust rod, nut height, bridge leveling and intonation.
i absolutely wihout a doubt love music. I love teaching it, composing it, hearing it. As long as I'm around any form of music I will be in my natural habitat. Being around like minded people who love all music, and have a passion for it is an amazing feeling. if you choose me I will do my best to make sure I pass down my passion for this craft on to you.
I got into teaching when I finally had a firm grasp with what I was doing. Once I understood what I was doing on guitar I began to enjoy telling people this information. I would always start a random lesson with my friends who wanted to learn as well. After some time of that I decided to try teaching someone rather than just telling them something random about music. I enjoy and love explaining how everything works in music, and got the hang of explaining all of this after teaching a few people.
I studied guitar at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where I learned the fundamentals of playing the guitar. I learned music theory, how to read music, I developed my ear there, and it gave me the over all knowlege to continue teaching myself and others. As a musician now I feel like you never truly stop learning new things about the guitar. I also learned the piano, and how to sing! So if those are things you might be interested in as well just ask.

When working with a new student I first figure out what skill level they are in. This might be us jamming behind a backing track or you telling me your history. I then ask the student what they wish to gain from these lessons, meaning what you wish to improve the most. From all of this information I will think of a lesson that will best suit you.
I've worked with students that range from beginner-advanced. Even a really good guitarist needs some advice on scales, or melodies.
Please practice. I've had students pay me but they wouldn't practise and after some time I would dump them because they were wasting their money. This was clearly not meant for them.

Details
For first timers your lesson will be $50.00 for the first hour. If you like how I teach and would like me to continue with the lessons then it changes to $100.00 an hour. I do this because you don't know me yet so to secure that you will be getting the best education for you, my first lesson will be cheaper. If you decide to stay I bump it up to regular price.
