About Billy
I have been told I'm a good teacher. I break things down to make them easy to understand. I enjoy teaching. I have been teaching guitar and bass for many years. All levels welcome. I majored in music in college and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where I studied jazz and music theory. I play bass in a couple bands. We play mostly classic rock but also dance music (funky bass!).
I noticed that I enjoyed showing other musicians things that they didn't know from time to time and so I decided it would be a good idea to start teaching others. It was a good idea because I enjoy teaching.
I've been playing music since I was 9 years old. I majored in music in college. I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston and have played in many different bands and played many styles of music. I'm comfortable teaching anyone how to play.

For new students, I start with basic fundementals and teach an overall understanding of how the guitar works. After the fundamentals are introduced, the student can then begin to learn to play songs.
I work with a lot of beginners but all levels are welcome.
I am sure that I can teach you to play guitar or bass because I have successfully taught many others in the past. I'm good at communicating and I make things easy to understand.
I pay attention to detail when I learn songs and I like to see people's reaction when they notice the extra detail added to the songs I play.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
One important thing to consider before taking lessons - are you willing and able to put the time in to practice. You'll need to practice at least 4 days a week to progress generally speaking.

What a wonderful experience my 13 year old has had with her violin and guitar lessons from Bill. I couldn't be happier with her understanding of both instruments, and her continued interest in practicing.
