About Brendan

Taking lessons with me will be a personal experience. Its about what you know, what you want to know, and how to do it. I've had a passion for guitar for 10 years, and within that time I have explored a large extent of musicality, both internationally and locally. Since highschool I have spent much of my time and money learning with a masterful guitarist, Studying the boundires of the instruments expressive capabilities. Blues, metal, jazz, folk, and World music are heavy influences on my playing and study. That being said any student of mine will have a wide range of musical styles to choose from after learning the basics, and if so desired, I can intimately guide you to your specified playing prefrence.

I Had the idea to teach since I was in highschool. I naturally have been in the position to teach or share information and skills I knew or took personal time to practice or learn. Money isnt easy to come by in the music business and this is the most useful way to express my musicianship and try to make a living at the same time. I also love guitar and stringed instruments in general and it feels good sharing that passion with others.

I have taken personal lessons for over a decade with a highly recognized and masterful musician of multiple styles of music and instruments. I took short a period of time learning traditional westernized theory and history at hunter college. I grew up in a musical family; My mother, has been a voice professor at Suny Hunter College for 25 years as well as a highly influencial and experienced opera singer with doctorate in Music. Her father was Ralph Derosa whom was known in the 1950s as a member of a pop trio called The Voices Three, and later went on to become a soloist and song writer.

About the lesson

It's straight forward, I will discuss interests and goals with each student I teach to create a personal curriculum.

Mainly beginners, children, and friends.

"Practice doesnt make perfect, perfect practice does." -My Teacher

Depending on what this questionnaire means by event.

I enjoyed a music show december 15th 2018 where the band Ghost came to NYC, I jammed with some friends a month back, and Im gearing up to go to few metal shows in the next few months.

That's all I can think of for this one haha.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Decide what you want to know and dont be afriad to ask , no matter how silly or nerdy the desire is, I can and will show you what you want to know.
