I have been playing guitar (all types) since 1987. I started with acoustic cowboy chords and was instantly hooked! Rock, Blues Metal, Classical, Neo-Classical (shred) and Jazz all resonated with me and I never looked back!!

I excelled early and still strive to master it on my own personal musical guitar quest. Addicted to guitar? Me too. Interested and think it's fer' you? IT IS! Don't ignore it! Buy a guitar and find a teacher!! Got a kid obsessed with it? Feed the fire. Buy the gear. Find them that great teacher, ME :)

Let's explore your (or your child's or loved one's) musical journey together!! I can help you find your "direction" if you're a beginner and LOVE seeing someone else "get it" when it comes to guitar!! I've always learned the most teaching. Funny how that works? LOVE is why. I LOVE what I do.

I have successfully taught children and adults shortcuts and ways to cut the learning curve.

Understanding guitar is one thing. Grasping it is another. I'm able to assess and cut to the student's needs in real-time as we work. I'm also a professional guitarist/musician with several years regional playing experience and national/world exposure.

I'm a total guitar gear nerd, own some (and maintain and mod/fix) really awesome guitars, amps, speaker cabinets and fx in my studio. So we can explore the gear side as well. I've guitar tech-ed for numerous local and regional bands, and did a studio engineer internship at Klondike studios. I have taught guitar privately one-on-one mostly.

I'm an established working songwriter and own a professional recording studio/amp room that I operate out of.

I love working with people!

I'm former police officer, US Army and a former volunteer firefighter. I most recently sold licensed insurance so I'm pretty outgoing!

My wife is a school teacher in our district, we have 3 girls ages 7-11-17 and a son in college, aged 21.

We actively volunteer in our school's arts and music programs and our community is very tight knit. We are proud to be a part of that.

I simply want to teach people what I've learned about music theory, playing guitar from beginner to pro level, and how being an "active!" musician in a scene can help as SOON as you know how to play (hit those open stages!!)

Studied Rock/Metal/Neo-Classical and Classical Nylon for 14 years with Jason Ricci (RIP)

Studied rock/metal for two years with Darren Lazzarri 91-92. Darren is a well known, well established guitar Jedi master who has DONE IT ALL. Year 2 I was told "I have no more to teach you. Go set the world on fire."

Studied Jazz Rock for 2 years with John Evosevic 97-99. John is another Guitar Jedi Master.

Both are former Pianos-N-stuff music teachers and world seasoned pro guitar/touring musicians and songwriters.

Hendrix, Randy Rhoads, Dimebag and Stevie Ray Vaughan taught me the rest!

I'm the guitar product of all of those influences and instructions, and well rounded mix non-stop head down effort. Add in a good dose of stubborn won't be told "You can't do it."

YOU can learn and play too. Fast and well, and I can show you how!

About the lesson

We would custom tailor to each student's needs based on initial skill level. If student's aren't having fun, they won't learn or be motivated to do so. I keep it FUN!!!!
