About Loren
I have played guitar professionally for over 30 years. I love to help others learn to play. I am very student oriented and tailor my lesson plans to fit each student's needs and goals. I work with most styles of music. I also have experience with songwriting, recording, music for film, TV and video games.
I love music and I love guitar, and I love to share music with people and help them realize their musical dreams and find the lifelong enjoyment that the gift of music brings.
Started in the early 90s to make some extra cash and help some friends learn to play. I did not go full time until 2010. My business has grown steadily and I have successful students playing gigs, recording, writing, and touring.
I have studied music theory. I have played professionally for over 30 years with numerous bands and different styles of music. I work as a sideman for hire, and often get to play with people I just met. I have done many studio sessions with my own material, other musicians songs, and even engineering the sessions.

First, I like to find out who they are and what their favorite music is. What are their dreams and goals with their instrument and music. Then I assess the current skill level and knowledge base and build a lesson plan based on all the information.
All ages from 6 to 76. Everything from complete beginners to working pros. And almost all styles and many different approaches, depending on student goals.
Determine what you want. What you want immediately, long term, and wildest dreams. Then we will get to work getting you there. Touch your guitar at least once a day. Explore new styles and ideas, it will expand your understanding of music and your instrument.
Watching 2 of my students perform in the same band, supporting their new EP. One on bass, one on lead guitar. Fantastic show.

I would give Loren 10 stars if that was possible. Loren has worked with my son since he was a child and with Loren’s help he has blossomed into an amazing adult musician. Loren is technically great, but more importantly possesses a unique ability to relate to his students and make lessons a truly fun experience. I have recommended Loren to many other people and they all have the same exact experience. Loren has my absolute highest recommendation!!!!
Loren has been teaching guitar and bass to both my son and me for several years and he has been an awesome teacher! He is very patient and tailors the lesson to the interests of the student, covering music genres ranging from blues, jazz, country, classic rock, and heavy metal. The lessons are one on one, and he keeps it fun and engaging.
Loren is a great instructor for all ages and abilities. Extremely knowledgeable, patient and always encouraging.
