Jacob is a warm, patient, and friendly teacher and he makes lessons relaxed and fun. He's a talented and knowledgeable musician who lets the student set the course and the pace. I've taken lessons from other people in the past, but never made as much progress as I have with Jacob in just a few short weeks. I look forward to my lessons with him. I highly recommend him as a guitar instructor.

I've only had a few lessons with Jacob so far but it has been great! I appreciate that he is willing to work with me on songs that I want to learn. Scheduling with him has been easy and flexible which is very important to me! He has a very easy going nature and obviously enjoys playing guitar and helping others learn. I recently started guitar lessons with Jacob. I've tried to self-teach multiple times in the past but decided I needed a professional to get me beyond the walls I always hit. Jacob responded to my query quickly & got me started with a program that he is customizing to my goals. I appeciate that at the beginning & end of each lesson he confirms my comfort level & that he is matching the lessons to my goals. In addition to keeping the lessons fun, Jacob has been very responsive when I've had questions between lessons.

To preface, I've had the pleasure of having 5 sessions with Jacob at the time of writing this review, and I plan to have many, many more, for as long as he'll have me as a student. Because I have to say, Jacob Hessburg is one of the most phenomenal teachers I've ever had, bar none.

I'd be hard pressed to name any other mentor I've had that is as accommodating, knowledgable, kind, and skilled in their field.

It's also easy to tell that Jacob genuinely enjoys music and teaching. I've met several teachers that just see their field as a means to an end, and they follow the same steps and curriculum for every student.

Jacob, however, has helped me build things from the ground up, easily accommodating my eclectic blend of tastes like metal and folk, and creating regiments that are very entertaining, and efficiently build my motor skills with the guitar at the same time.

I would wholeheartedly reccomend Jacob to anybody looking for a guitar and music teacher. Working with him has been one of the best learning experiences I've ever had, and very much look forward to continuing my work with him.

Jacob is a really fun guy to have teaching you the guitar. He adapts really well to what you’re interested in learning. I was using an app program for about 6-7 months before deciding a music teacher would help and I wasn’t wrong.

Jacob has been adding to what I have already learned and giving a much more in-depth explanation of things than a non personalized app ever could. He has done a great job building off what I know, and showing me what direction I can take things.

After my first lesson he provided me with great feed back and practice routines to work on before our following meeting. I booked a month out with him so far and will continue to work with him in the future. Five stars! Thanks Jake! I enjoy the heck out of your lessons.
