Dave is an extremely patient and understanding teacher. Over the past couple months I have grown immensely with my guitar playing. I have been taking lessons from Dave for just a couple months and I can say he’s the real deal!!

Before I started with Dave, I was a complete novice. I had no real direction on how and what to practice.

Within 2 lessons, he figured out what my strengths were and understood quickly what I needed to focus on to learn and play music as fast as possible.

I can now play some songs from artists that I personally love and in genres that I like.

He explains important foundation and theory in a simple and meaningful way. Every lesson I feel like I learned something completely new.

He has a wealth of knowledge and helps you focus on proper technique so from week to week, you can be sure you are progressing the right way as long as you practice.

As a beginner, sometimes you feel stupid for making mistakes, but Dave is your biggest supporter and always encourages you to try again until you get it. He uses a bunch of phrases loosely based around “Don’t worry, try again.” This is super effective in my experience.

Even if you don’t quite get it, he always has a positive outlook for you to set your sights on.

His lessons are great when they are in person, but since COVID-19 happened some of our sessions moved Zoom. Dave is just as effective and professional via Zoom. We haven’t slowed down yet!

If you need lessons (beginner or advanced) and want to play your favorite music as well as be challenged, I highly recommend Dave as your guitar teacher.

Dave is an incredible teacher! He is kind, patient and very good at explaining music concepts in an accessible way. I came to Dave as an intermediate guitar player and a beginner bass player, and he was able to cater his teaching style accordingly for both instruments.
