About Savannah

At River Bottom Horsemanship we make sure the students learn all aspects of taking care of the horses as well as riding them.

I was approached by a woman with an autistic son and I started working with them on a weekly basis and I gained my passion for teaching from that experience.

I worked with a professional trainer over the summer two years ago and I have been riding most of my life. I also train horses for people on the side when I am not doing lessons.

When working with a new student we go over basic care for the horses, like how to groom, feed, and tack them up. We have lots of fun at our first lesson getting to know the horses and each other ☺️.

I have worked with children, children with disabilities, and even older adults.

Make sure the teacher is right for you and Teaches you everything they possibly can.

One of my students finally got to lope a horse last week and she was over the moon about it. The confidence riding horses gives the kids is just so great to watch.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are they expecting from the lesson? What particular discipline would they like to pursue with the horses? And what their goals are throughout their riding career.
