About Tabitha

I've been riding for over 20 years and specialize in cross country jumping, stadium jumping, and low level dressage. We also offer beginner lessons to those who are committed to their equine future. We offer 4-H riders to learn and show. Ground work training in building a confident partner. We teach more than just riding a horse. We have a heated indoor riding arena as well as an outdoor riding arena that's open during dry warm months of the year. We offer lesson packages and training packages if you'd like to trailer your equine friend to our facility. Looking for goal oriented, hard working, ambitious rider who wants to be part of a equine family.

I absolutely love watching the progress and confidence level increase in my riders as well as horses. Plus, who doesn't enjoy smelling like a horse when they walk into the house or get into their car that smells like horse poop and leather....life is perfect with these animals. Truly doing what I love. I especially enjoy motivating others to be their best.

I always taught here and there but never really got involved until my father passed. He built this farm from ground up and I could never repay him other than keep his legacy moving forward with improvent as well as use my knowledge and share with others who are willing to learn.

I've been part of 4-H and showed with Pony Club which earned as far as B circuit. Outside of those equine groups, I've learned my info from other high end instructors and hours upon hours of research by credible resources. Plus, personal experience and clinics. I've trained most of my horses here in the farm.

About the lesson

Typical process with new riders is meeting them and them meeting us, our equine friends, and our facility. I usually ask a series of questions to find the best fit equine friend with that rider. Ask about what level they are currently and where they see themselves in the next few years in the equine industry. We work with thoroughbreds who want to be worked with a confident rider who will push them. Experience always a plus.

I've worked with beginners and up. Most of my riders are Hunter jumpers. My youngest jumper is 8 years old. I've worked with all age ranges as well.

Hire a trainer/teacher who will motivate you and push you to step out of your comfort zone. Be willing to try new things.

Make sure the discipline you are looking into is what the facility offers. As in, English, Western, speed events, jumping, eventing, dressage, ground work, trail riding, or endurance.

The latest event that I have much pride in is teaching my students who are involved in 4-H. 2 of my girls earned a grand champion and 1 went to state earning herself in the top 10.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Student should have some goal or an idea of what they are looking for so the instructor can better fit their needs.

Student could give insight as to their strengths and weaknesses, fears or what motivates them.
