About Rick

I have taught Latin for the past thirteen years and I thoroughly understand grammar both in Latin and in English and can make it accessible for students of all ages. In addition I am familiar with most of the textbooks used in Latin instruction.

I love helping students gain confidence not just in Latin, but in their studies in general.

My first instructional experience was a teaching assistant as a graduate student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I taught Mythology, Roman Satire, and Roman Culture and Civilization.

I earned a BA in Latin from Florida State University and I have an MA in Classics from the University of California in Santa Barbara. For more thana decade I have taught both online and in person at Tallahassee Community College.
