About Aidan

Every student will be able to recognize growth and improvement under my lesson plans. I have also adapted my lesson teaching stategies to directly translate to the current circumstances the nation is facing.

I have a great passion for teaching. My goal is to help others continue to grow and get better at the marimba!

I started teaching my peers and then it led to me teaching family friends getting into percussion as well as other beginners getting ready to join their band program.

I have about 8 years of experience with the marimba and I am currently attending one of the nation's top percussion schools, The University of North Texas, getting my degree in music education. I have taught lessons to beginners as well as musicians with experience.

About the lesson

My process is to start from the basics. From there, I like to teach how to apply the techniques learned directly into making music. I like to make fun little pieces of music for students to learn and enjoy while also improving their skills greatly.

I have worked with beginners, students with some experience, and students who are talented percussionists, however they struggle with some marimba concepts.

I would reccomend looking for someone who has plenty of experience with teaching others. Many great performers can't relay certain concepts to those trying to learn.

I am fond of one of my most recent marimba performances. I was performing with my accompanist, a friend of mine, and it was a great experience to perform great music with a friend!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think that any question a student might have should be willing to ask the teacher! Personally, I love answering any questions a student might have.

Well first off, when I was a lesson he taught me things that I never heard of before in percussion, so evertime we have lessons it’s like I know how to play new stuff everyday. Also his comments are pretty clear so it’s hard to get confused really.
