About John
My Name is John Aviles. I am the creator of Bodythenics, which is an evolving training system that integrates the 5's needed to train every physical attribute and to develop a fully functional aesthetic fighting physique. I've been involved in fitness for most of my life and have studied multiple martial art disciplines for 20 years. I will not only show you the self-defense techniques, I will break down and explain the mechanics of the moves so that you will know the 'why', which is something that's never explained. I will also expect that all my students engage in a rigorous physical fitness program all integrated into the system so that he/she will always be in amazing shape to take care of any situation. If you're not willing to commit to the exercises within the system, please do not apply. The 5's - Sculpting, Strength, Self-defense, Stamina, Stretching.
The best part of teaching others that follow my system is the incredible physique and abilities that they develop over time. The system changes continuously to fit every individual according to their needs. The following are the disciplines that I have studied over the years: Kenpo Karate, Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Boxing, Kickboxing, Krav Maga, Brazilain JuiJitsu, Filipino.
