About Marina
I have tutored in schools, learning centers and privately for the past 5 years. I have worked with students of ages 3 and above with different backgrounds, cultures and personalities. Most of my tutoring has been in the subjects of math and reading.
I have worked with big groups of up to 10 students and individually. I am an English learner myself and fluent in Spanish.
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Public Administration and have passed the California Basic Educational Skills Test. I will be pursuing teaching credentials in the near future.
I love connecting with students by learning about their interests and motivations. I like create a safe space for students to feel comfortable asking questions. I like to help students feel confident and encourage them to dream big and achieve their goals.
I also like to communicate with parents/guardians to ensure students are meeting their learning objectives.
