About Tayoni

Dedicated and honest Mechanical Engineering with tutoring specialties in Math, English and technical/literature writing, Physics, and STEM. I'm a logistics manager by day, for an DoD RF Simulation program, and a STEM robotics coach by night, for a Baltimore City school. I have a passion for learning and want to inspire and encourage others to reach their full potential.

I have been tutoring since grade school in Oklahoma; in college at Wichita State University in Kansas; and as a STEM volunteer in Baltimore, MD. My age range of students has been 10-40 years of age.

I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University and a certification in RF Technology from Besser Associates.

I started volunteering because my mother is a retired Head Start teacher. I now develop operations and maintenance instruction manuals for a military program, as well as training.

I have a BS in Mechancial Engineering, an RF Technology certification from Besser Associates, and cleared background checks to work within the public school systems and church.

I also develop manuals and training, as well as conduct training, on an RF Simulation program for new employees and customers.

About the lesson

Discerning how the student learns: visually, audibly, etc. and making the learning specific and applicable to the student. For instance, I had a 3rd grade student who was autistic and would only be engaged when trains were mentioned. So, I incorporated trains into all my lessons.

All ages: 10-40 years of age.

Be honest. Let the tutor know exactly what seems to be the issue.

Keep track of progress.

Verify the tutor via social media if possible.

My recent 2019-2020 robotics team of 3 students (two 5th graders, one 4th grader) decided to do a science project in which we came up with ideas on how to solve the 3-pipe water system of Baltimore City. We decided, as a team, to learn about nanotechnology and use this as a possible solution for this project.
