About Ryan
Hi, my name is Ryan and I’m a tutor who specializes in math, science, English, debate, and SAT prep.
I’m a recent graduate from Northwestern University with a B.S in Industrial Engineering and am currently working as a data scientist. I’ve been working as a tutor and teacher in both 1-on-1 and classroom environments since my junior year of high school. As such, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students and have a good idea of the local curriculum and expectations.
I’ve always had a passion for teaching and so my transition into tutoring was a natural one. I find it extremely fulfilling when I see my students maximizing their potential or when I see their eyes light up as they finally understand a particularly perplexing concept. I understand that everyone has different ways of learning and so I am always adapting to each of my students’ particular needs.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, playing with my two cats, and competing in olympic weightlifting.
