About Racquel
I don’t have a professional business yet, but I do want to help people who need help! I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals. I’ve tutored a lot of different kids and it helps to know someone understands your struggle. Me myself have dealt with tutors and it’s frustrating when they get frustrated with you. I can empathize and I want to help kids with what I can.
I am not graduated from high school yet, I am a independent study sophomore but I usually would tutor people who asked for my help but recently I thought I would start a more professional job.
I have been a peer tutor from the past couple years and have been in student councils.

Usually, I want to get to know the student to make sure I will be able to work with them and meet their needs. Basically to make sure I am the right fit and that we can get along and work well.
Many different types of students from accelerated students to special needs students.
I would ask if they would be comfortable having me help them, ask them to be honest. If they don’t feel comfortable for any reason, I would refer them to other resources.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about what they say before saying it. Be precise and make sure you don’t teachers don’t feel uncomfortable.
