About Samantha

I am an 18 year old college student, just out of high school, and i've always loved math. I have taken every math class up to AP Calculus AB. It came very easy to me and I love helping others understand it, espcesially when they are having a hard time. I did tutoring all throughout high school with an organization called National Honors Scoiety. It's makes me feel good to see how happy students get when they finally understand the work they've been struggling to complete. I am confindent that I could help anyone in need!

I am currently in school, so I am not actually teaching yet, but I am strongly considering getting a teaching degree. Im sill in a stage where Im not sure ecactly what I want to do yet, so i have been trying to experience different things with hopes that I will find somehting i love!

I don't have any professional training, but I do have a lot of experience turoring students throughout highschool. I would come early in the mornings and stay later after school to help out. I just graduated as the class of 2020, so i am fresh out of school, and still very framiliar with all of the infromation.

About the lesson

I would like to have an undertsanding of what the student is learning, or needs help with before we meet, so that I can review that information and I am fully prepared to help. I have a quiet room in my house that we could work in. Im not very spesific on how I teach. Usually I start by asking the student what they do and dont understand. I try to focus more on what they want to do, or what they are having the most trouble understanding, and then I would work from there.

I've worked with both high school and emelentary school students, grades K-12.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students need to think about what they do and dont understand. Once you are able to spesifically figure out what you keep getting stuck on, it will be much easier to figure out were you have been making mistakes.
