About Zorana
While studying Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida, I developed a deep love for numbers and math. For thousands of years, math has been the language we have used to understand and describe the world around us. Beyond its function as an essential skill we must learn to enter the workforce, understanding math at its core leads to improved understanding of all the natural sciences, music, and even art.
I strive to help students understand the underlying concepts of their curriculum rather than teach them repetition and memorization of steps to solve a problem. By learning why they are doing these steps to solve a problem rather than simply learning to follow an algorithm to solve them, students retain the information for much longer and can improve their performance in higher-level math classes in the future.
Since 2015, I have been tutoring high schoolers and college students in various math classes. I maintain a 4.0 GPA in all my college math classes and strive to help other students attain the same results.
Having taken many higher-level math classes at a collegiate level, I have a deep understanding of the foundations of math. This leads me to truly being able to explain the core concepts.
