About Carolyn

I'm a certified math teacher with a bachelor’s degree in math and a Master’s degree in teaching. I’ve been tutoring students for the last 12+ years, and I love igniting students’ love of learning and inspiring them to love math - even if they hated it before!

I take a practical, easy-to-understand approach to explaining math using real-life examples and applying meaning to the skills they learn. I focus on understanding the WHY behind the concepts, rather than just teaching rote processes.

I am a certified math teacher for grades 4-12, with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in teaching.

About the lesson

Mathematics lessons offered by Carolyn are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons are held online. The first 30 minutes are free to define learning goals and methodology. Lessons focus on WHY math makes sense, not just how. Math can be fun!
