About Heather
I have been teaching high school mathematics for 25 years! My goal is to find ways to make math fun and relatable. I believe the best path to mastering mathematics is to realize it's ok to make mistakes...a lot of mistakes! It's how we learn.
I have held every role from classroom teacher to district curriculum specialist. I always find myself back in the classroom because it's where the fun is! You will just have to trust me when I say...we can turn an "I can't stand math." attitude into a "I got this!" mindset!

The first thing I want to know from students is where they feel they are struggling. I want to know specifically how far their confidence can take them. From that point, we work together to pinpoint if the true misunderstanding is with the content or the math required to support the content. Based on that determination, we develop a plan, together, to achieve success.
The most important thing is to feel comfortable with the teacher you choose!
