About Molly
I am a student myself - a third year at Cornell University studying mathematics and biology, with a minor in philosophy. I know what teaching techniques are effective, and how to translate thoretical concepts into more accessible terms for any type of learner. Furthermore, I am the eldest of four children, and have helped young children with homework and their studies for many years. Finally, I've been a peer tutor all throughout high school and college, so I have almost a decade experience working with upper level students in a wide variety of subejct areas!
I love watching students grow and gain confidence in themselves. Learning is such a magical and rewarding process that anyone can acheive. No matter the age, subject, or level of proficiency, there is nothing more exciting than helping a student attain their goals.
I am a college student myself, and have conducted tutoring sessions for my peers at Cornell in various fields, including math, biology, and English. I also have experience working with elementary children, as I was responsible for helping my younger brother with his schoolwork when I was in high school.

First, I like to get to know what kind of learner a student is. I find out whether they prefer hands-on activities, to talk through problems, or look through visuals and do worksheets. In addition, I find out what their strengths and weaknesses are by asking them! It is super important to develop a good working relationship with a student, and that starts with building trust and giving agency to the student. Anyone can learn and be successful in the classroom - it's my job to figure out how each individual can acheive that success.
