About Brittney
Hi I'm Brittney :) (she/her)
I graduated Summa cum Laude with a BSc in Psychobiology from UCLA and earned an MSc with distinction in Global Health at University College London. With my extensive academic background, I've encountered various teaching methods, some highly effective and others less so. While mastering subject material is essential, I firmly believe fostering a growth mindset is equally vital. Drawing from my own experiences, where I overcame self-doubt and gained confidence in my learning abilities, I'm passionate about empowering students to take control of their learning. This will ensure students can confidently tackle any learning challenge, laying the foundation for lasting success!
My previous tutoring experiences including tutoring highschool students in biology, alegbra, pre-calculus, AP calculus AB & BC. I also bring three additional years of tutoring experience in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, and general chemistry as a Life Sciences tutor at UCLA. In my third year, I served as the Head tutor, where I shared successful teaching methods with junior tutors.
