About Rehan
Hi there! My name is Rehan and I am an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia studying Computer Science in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. I can tutor in a wide range of high-school math and science classes including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Algebra, Calculus, and a little bit of Statistics as well. I will be very negotiable with pricing and I have a pretty flexible schedule for most of the week. Please feel free to reach out to me!
When I was in high school just a year ago, I often wish that I could have found more tutors who truly understand what it's like to learn these difficult subjects from the perspective of the student. Going through all of these subjects just recently, I completely understand how frustrating it can be to wrap your head around some of these complicated topics and using my experience and understanding I want to show you the tools that I used in order to succeed in many of these classes with flying colors!
As a member of multiple honor societies in high-school, I have tutored students for all four years of high school in a wide variety of topics including science, math, and even spanish!
In high school I took Algebra II, Pre-Calculus Honors, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics I, AP Biology, AP Chemsitry, Chemistry and Biology Honors, and also AP Statistics. In college, I just finished an inroductory Physics course, a chemistry course, multivariable calculus, and a little bit of introductory programming in Java and Python as well!

I would love to start by having the student send me in advance some of the things they are having trouble with understanding in order to give me time to prepare a personalized lesson for us to go through together. In that lesson I would ask the student to show me some examples of problems/explain concepts in their own words to get a baseline of where we are before we begin the lesson. I have no weekly schedule so whenever a student needs me I'm there!
I have worked with mostly high-school students, however I also have good experience with elementary and middle school students as well.

Wow! My son was having a lot of trouble with Algebra due to his inability to get help from his teacher during this recent pandemic, and Rehan was able to help him learn and understand Algebra I think even better than his own teacher could! He very clearly and easily explains things in a way for anyone to be able to understand and his examples are fantastic too. Most of all, he actually has gotten my son to ENJOY math! Highly recommend for anyone looking for some math help!
