About Zachary
Hello! My name is Zach Thomas. I graduated from the University of Washington College of Engineering earning a B.S. in Human-Centered Design and Engineering with an emphasis on Data Science (A mouthfull, I know). During High School I worked as a math tutor both privately and for a company called Mathnasium. During college I worked as a Math and Science Instructor at Quantum Camp, a math and science summer camp in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I currently work as a Software Engineer for a consulting company called Revature but have not had an assignment in some months due to the Covid-19 pandemic :( So I have decided to use my extra time to helping kids who may be having a hard time with their new learning situation!
I am well versed in math up to calculus, linear algebra and advanced statistics. I was a physics major for the first bit of college before discovering a passion for programming. I am proficient in Python, Java & Go and have experience with R, SQL & HTML.
