About Julie
Howdy! I graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Civil Engineering in May of 2018. Math has always been my favorite subject and I would love to help you get through whatever academic hardships you are encountering :)
Additionally, I minored in Italian Studies at Vandy, so if you are interested in learning some Italian, I have lessons plans ready for you to start!
I worked as a tutor of different subjects in college, including Italian, Math, and Writing.
While attending Vanderbilt Unibversity, I worked at the Vanderbitl Athelic Center as the only Italian tutors for college athletes in need of assistance with their Italian courses.
Additionally, I was president of a student organization that paired Vanderbilt students with students attending Metro Nashville Public Schools to offer them tutoring help with a diverse array of subjects. I focused mostly on Math.

Our brains are wired to take in the world in different and unique manners. Thus, during our first lesson, I will observe the student's prefered way of learning new information. Aditionally, I want to better understand the student's skills and difficulties. Once I have a good grasp of this, I will present the student with basic information about the topic at hand. I often find that if someone is having a hard time understanding topic C, it's because he or she never fully understood topics A and B before moving forward.
