About Yuriy

I believe I'm naturally good at communicating with people! And I don't only use that to make my lessons as involving and fun as possible, but to communicate concepts and ideas in a way that people will find simple to understand. And since I'm still a university student myself, I can always find the common ground with my students!

I'm really fond of my dedicated and curious students and I think they absolutely make the process of teaching worth all the effort! As a university student, I still do have a fresh understanding of how schools currently teach, so, apart from teaching math, I also do my best to help my students with their studying in all kinds of matters.

It started back when I was in high school and my parents' friend asked me to help their daughter with her math class homework. Even though I did it for free, I found that I really enjoyed it! As other parents started to contact me online for help, I had an amazing opportunity to work with kids of numerous different ages and backgrounds.



Even though I'm a self-taught tutor (I never studied to be a teacher), I've always found teaching to be one of my talents, so I achieved my current skills through tons of practice. As of now, I have over two years of teaching experience with students aged 10 to 17 inclusively.

The goal of the first lesson comes down to understanding the problem thoroughly. In practice, I present the student with some of the most popular tasks related to their age/level and focus on how they approach them. I find this to be the best way to find the common ground with a new student and make further lessons as time-efficient as possible.



Even though I'm only beginning my work with this website, as of now I've worked with 20+ students from 3 different countries aged 10 to 17.
