I am currently a Student Tutor for the Academic Success Center at Clemson University. I have also completed the Online Tutoring Essentials, which equip tutors with the critical knowledge they need to support students through better online tutoring experiences.

My typical process involves asking the new student about their day. I like to make this an open environment where students feel comfortable expressing their needs and issues! These sessions are student-led, so I am here to listen to the student and parents' concerns.
The types of students I like to work with the most are the students facing a challenge. I love to help a student who is struggling with a problem and then see them take on and overcome that problem. The look in their eyes when they have reached that "I got it" moment is priceless.
I would tell a student to make sure that the teacher put their needs first throughout their lesson.
