About Bridget
Hello!
My name is Bridget and I am currently a high school physics and math teacher (Algebra 1,2, Pre-Calculus, etc.). I am looking to help your student with all their science and math work this summer! I will be attending Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies this upcoming Fall for my master’s degree in environmental science. I can help students in a wide variety of math and science subjects. I look to make students comfortable, provide constructive feedback, positive reinforcement of concepts, and most importantly make math and science fun! I have loved being a teacher and connecting with students. My favorite thing about teaching is having my students tell me that math and physics are no longer their most dreaded subjects because they are in my classroom. I would love to connect further about helping your student this summer!
I have a B.S in Biology and Environmental Studies & Sustainability. I have been a summer school instructor in the subjects of Biology, Chemistry, and French. I am currently a full time math and physics teacher for a local, private high school. I will be pursuing my masters degree in environmental science and management at Yale University in the Fall of 2019.

When I have a new student, I like to get to know them as a person first. Their interests, likes , dislikes, etc. to be able to find a way to connect the material in a way that resonates with them. For example, when working with a student who plays hockey, I would show them the process of kinetic vs. potential energy when making a shot on the ice. When working with a student who is passionate about music, I would relate the idea that numbers and math actually influence the sound waves we hear and notes we play to make a melody!
