About Mary
I am a high school math teacher, teaching Pre-Algebra through Calculus.
I am comfortable with virtual learning and tutoring!
I have loved math since I was in the 3rd grade and have been tutoring since 2008, when I was in high school.
I LOVE math. After working in Finance for 3 months, I knew I wanted to go into teaching.
My goal as a math teacher is to help my students to not hate math, but enjoy it and build their confidence in the subject.
I am a certified Math teacher. I have been teaching high school math for 4+ years, and tutoring elementary aged students for 5+ years.

I use my general knowledge of the subject to ask the student questions and give them problems to guage where they are at and where any struggles may be in order to get a starting point.
From there we can follow the curriculum given to the student through school, or I can use my own lessons and lesson plans.
This past school year was difficult for every teacher and student with COVID-19. I am proud of the way my school and department almost seamlessly transitioned into virtual learning. We found ways to optimize the learning experience for the students, as if they were still in the classroom.
