About Margaret

I have had diverse and unique experiences as a teacher and tutor over the past 30+ years. I bring a unique set of skills to the table to help a variety of students. I have taught at the Undergraduate, Graduate and High School level, online and in a face to face setting. I am committed to helping students succeed and grow in confidence and ability. I love to see the "light" come on when a student understands a concept and is ready to move forward.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Syracuse University, and a Masters in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology. I was an adjunct Instructor/Assistant Professor for Embry-Riddle University Extended Campus for 14 years at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I specialized in Logistics and Air Transportation and Logistics/Supply Chain Analysis.

I have taught Algebra I/II, Geometry, Statistics and Pre-calculus in a small class setting in a homeschooling co-op. I have 3 years experience working as an online tutor for a national tutoring company. I maintain a 5-star rating with my students.

I believe Mathematics is a language we use to understand order in our universe. An understanding of mathematics helps to develop critical thinking and logic. Many of us learn in different ways, and sometimes explaining this language in a way students can understand, based on their experience and learning style, can make all the difference in helping them to really understand math. I try to present any material in different ways and adapt a lesson to a student's learning style and level of mastery.

I have also developed unique programs to address skills gaps and mastery of concepts for students at all grade levels.

I am a seasoned tutor who can help your student succeed! Statistics, Algebra and Pre-calculus at the High School and Undergraduate levels are my specialty, but I have helped students at all grade levels, especially home-schooled students. Let's get started on your journey to success in mathematics.
