When working with a new student I like to take 15 minutes to get to know them as a person. I want to understand their educational goals as well as why they chose to look for a tutor. This allows me to tailor my curriculum to each student's needs.
I would tell this student to keep their options open. Every student and tutor is unique, so finding a tutor that fits well with the student's learning style is important. I would tell them to schedule a singular meeting with as many tutors as they are willing to and then deciding on which tutor suits them the best.

He is really patient and nice. English is my second language, but he was very understanding. His explanations were always clear and helped me a lot.
